How long does it take to receive my order?
Standard pumps (up to 5 units) typically ship within 3 days. For larger quantities, or for special/customized pumps — such as powder pumps or sanitary/hygienic-grade pumps — delivery time depends on the specific configuration and will be confirmed with you individually. Standard spare parts, separately, ship within 7 days. If you have a specific deadline, let us know when submitting your inquiry so we can confirm feasibility upfront.
What certifications do GINKAI's pumps meet?
Our diaphragm pumps are manufactured to meet ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ATEX (explosion-proof, for hazardous environments), CE (European conformity), and FDA (for food/pharmaceutical-grade applications) standards. As one of the drafting units of China's national industry standard for petrochemical diaphragm pumps, we design and produce every pump in line with recognized industry requirements.
The maximum flow rate listed for a pump — does that apply to my application?
Not directly. The maximum flow rate shown in most pump specifications is measured under zero-discharge-pressure conditions using water. In real applications, flow rate varies significantly depending on your fluid's viscosity, the discharge pressure required, and the specific operating conditions at your site. This is why we recommend sharing your actual fluid type, required pressure, and piping setup with our engineers — so we can estimate real-world performance rather than relying on the catalog number alone.
Can I use a PP (polypropylene) pump for corrosive chemicals to save cost?
It depends on the chemical — this is one of the most common selection mistakes we see. PP is often chosen for its lower price, but many corrosive chemicals can gradually degrade PP, causing body deformation or even affecting the fluid's composition. A PP pump handling aggressive chemicals may only last about a year, while switching to PVDF — with significantly better chemical resistance — often extends service life well beyond that, making it the better value over time.
Why can't I just pick a pump based on the catalog specifications alone?
Catalog specs are tested under standardized conditions, not your actual operating environment. Matching the right pump requires reviewing your fluid type, viscosity, required pressure, and flow together — which is why our engineers confirm the final configuration before you order, rather than leaving it to catalog numbers alone.
Should I start the pump at full pressure, or gradually increase it?
Always start at low pressure and gradually increase to your required working pressure — never start a pneumatic diaphragm pump at maximum pressure. Starting at full pressure puts excessive stress on the pump from the first moment of operation, significantly shortening the lifespan of wear parts such as diaphragms and valve seats, and increasing how often they need to be replaced. A gradual startup is a simple habit that meaningfully extends service life and reduces maintenance costs.
