Stainless Steel Air Operated Powder Pumps

Stainless steel air operated powder pumps are made for transferring light dry powders through a closed pipeline. Based on air operated diaphragm pump technology, they add a pulse air circuit that introduces compressed air, or another suitable gas, during the discharge stroke. As the diaphragms move, the changing chamber volume creates suction and draws powder into the pump. During discharge, the powder is pushed forward while the added air mixes with the material, forming a gas-solid flow that travels through the outlet pipeline under slight positive pressure. The powder can then be delivered to a storage tank or other receiving equipment with less dust exposure and cleaner handling.

Features
    • Powder is transferred through a closed pipeline, which reduces direct contact between operators and the material. This is useful for toxic or harmful powders, while also helping control dust, improve the working environment, and reduce material loss.
    • 304, 316, or 316L stainless steel provides good resistance to corrosion and particle abrasion, giving the pump body better durability during powder transfer.
    • The 120° inclined flow path improves the movement of light powders through the pump and reduces the blockage problems often seen in traditional 90° flow path designs.
    • The seatless ball valve structure is simple and reliable for dry powder handling. It supports stable sealing and long-term powder transfer with less risk of material buildup around the valve seat.
Applications

Stainless steel air operated powder pumps are used in fine chemical production, pharmaceutical raw material handling, and intermediate processing. They are suitable for different light dry powders, including:

    • Inorganic Powders: White carbon black, nano calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, basic zinc carbonate, activated clay, and similar powder materials
    • Organic Powders: Resin powder, acrylic resin, and other light organic powder materials
    • Chemical Additives: Plasticizers, flame retardants, and related additive powders
    • Pharmaceutical and Chemical Raw Materials: Solid sodium methoxide, pharmaceutical intermediates, and similar powder materials used in chemical or pharmaceutical production
